CloseAs prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch are serving God and fasting, they hear the Holy Spirit say, "Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." They respond to His calling by initiating the first planned missionary effort. They send Barnabas, Saul, and John Mark out to bring the transforming good news of Jesus to the world. They travel through the island of Cyprus and spend time in various cities in present day Turkey often facing severe persecution for their faith but also seeing many lives transformed through the power of the gospel. They persevere with joy because they know they belong to God and fulfilling His purpose for them. What’s your purpose? How does God want to use you? Ask Him and listen up!
