“DNA”
This week our friend Neil Cole was with us and shared about what it takes to have a healthy Kingdom community. He has taught about this topic all over the world, and it is known by the acronym DNA: Divine Truth; Nurturing Relationships; Apostolic Mission.
Each of these three aspects can be found in scripture all over the place. They refer to the “Up”, our connection with God, the “In”, our connection with other believers, and the “Out”, our connection to the world. We must balance our lives around seeking God’s truth by being in community with Him, being in nurturing relationships and invested in the lives of the people around us, and encountering the world and sharing the gospel with those who have not heard it.
Partaking in any two of these three categories at once creates a community. But enacting all three enters you firmly into the full life of Jesus, showcasing who He is on a macro scale. As you enter this week, do not reduce yourself to the contentment of a safe, comfortable, uneventful lifestyle. A life consumed by Jesus expects flourishing and glory at all times. Make Him the DNA of your life every possible moment.
