Declaring The Kingdom-Acts 28

Ears To Hear

Acts 28 Pastor Phil concluded our journey through Acts by describing the final steps of Paul reaching Rome. After getting shipwrecked on the island of Malta, Paul, Luke and Aristarchus interact with Publius and heal his father. Other islanders hear of this, leading many people come to visit Paul to be cured. Once his time on Malta is over, Paul sets sail first to Syracuse, then arrives at Rome. Upon arrival, Paul finds the Jewish leaders and discusses the truth of Jesus with them. Verse 24 tells us, “Some were being persuaded by the things spoken, but others would not believe.” Paul spent two years receiving anyone who would come to him, teaching them about Jesus. Having completed 28 chapters in the book of Acts, reading and learning about all of the incredible things the early apostles did and the extended journeys and teachings of Paul, it is a good practice to reflect on that time. Where are you? Have your ears, your heart, your eyes been opened? Are you looking to embrace God every day, and not just on Sundays? Are you willing to seek Him and have Him direct and guide your life? God has a glorious plan designed just for you to fulfill. Are you ready for it?
