In This Way-Acts-19

Ears To Hear

Paul arrives in Ephesus and stays for at least 2 ½ years making disciples and seeing them spread the word throughout Asia. During his stay, we learn of several individuals who have yet to receive the Holy Spirit. One is a group of God-seekers who have yet to learn of Christ and the other, a group of Jewish exorcists who try to cast out demons in the name of Jesus. The lesson of the chapter is that the presence of the Holy Spirit is essential to the believer. The Holy Spirit provides us with guidance, power, and insight. He is present with every true believer. The task of every believer is to yield to Him so He can work His will.
