We are pleased to unveil the new logo for Los Altos Grace Church and School today:
Since the approval earlier this year of our “Doing Business As” name of Los Altos Grace Church and Schools, we envisioned a new and unified look for our church and school. A huge “Thank You” goes out to our rebranding team who worked together to find a designer and then to craft a new visual identity for Los Altos Grace. We were proud to work with Sakura Reese, who is a gifted designer and a school parent, to craft our new look. Under the umbrella of Ahava Design, Sakura has a ministry focus with her creative art!
The challenge of how to visualize the family of Los Altos Grace in a simple way was not an easy one. We also had the special challenge of integrating four decades of school history as well. In keeping with the desire to more closely link our school and church, the new logo is identical for both; other than the alteration of the one dominant blue color and the naming of either church or school. See below:
In the design process, we started with wanting to feature GRACE, although people often casually call us “Los Altos.” We want to move forward with “Grace” as the center for all of our ministry! It is “by grace that we’ve been saved” (Ephesians 2:8-9) and may we “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). As the Apostle Paul wrote, “By the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect” (1 Corinthians 15:10). May the same be true of all of our ministry as individuals, both as a school and as a spiritual family!
The rebranding team also desired an organic feel but not a cookie-cutter design. From the base of a very cliché plant sprout, our designer created a bold, sleek, unique icon that has movement and growth with a three-fold emphasis. We envision these three components to be:
- Jesus– our Lord, Savior and Head,
- Family– our chief reality as a community together, and
- World– the mission field our Jesus gave us to grow His Family in!
This logo is unique like we are!
We are glad to have a new clean, visual component to bring unity to our spiritual family as expressed in our school and church. Rejoice with us!
