This Summer we have some awesome opportunities to minister to others using our HOMES and our LIVES! See below for the following opportunity from Cecil O’Dell:
We have 4 students coming from Nagoya, Japan on July 27th ~ August 21st. We are partnering with the “Budonoki Church” (Grape Vine Church) in Nagoya. We are sending Annika this summer to work along-side of their summer program and she will be flying back to Long Beach with the 4 students. These will all be attending the Green Oak Ranch camp July 29th ~ August 4th.
Details on the 4 students: We are looking for home stays for the 2 High School Students (both believers), 1 Junior High School Student (not a believer yet), and 1 Sixth grade student (not a believer yet). The home stay would be for two nights on July 27th – 28th and from August 4th – 21st. There is a host family compensation of $200 for each student. The families would invite them into their family life and provide meals for them. We will be partnering with Jacob Baumer and the youth program at Los Altos Grace so they can attend events with youth their age.
We are praying for families who would enjoy and benefit from this hosting opportunity and who would be able to take one or two of the students. It is okay if the families do not have any school age children as long as the family has time to spend with the Japanese students. The high school students speak English well, and the Junior High and 6th grade student speak English a little. Cecil will be highly involved to help out with communication and transportation if need be.
