We at Los Altos Grace have the privilege of hosting 31 high school students from the summer ministry team Operation Barnabas. They will be with us through the weekend of Friday June 29 – Sunday July 1— even leading our worship service that Sunday morning!
One of our own, Kevin Jentes could be on the team (assignments not decided yet) as he was selected to go on this summer ministry team. Operation Barnabas is having two teams this summer: NorCal and SoCal and we are hosting the SoCal Team.
We need host families to put up these students and leaders for both nights as well as having transportation for them to your home from the church and back. Two modest breakfasts and one dinner together are also expected.
Tentative Schedule:
> Friday night 6/29 pickup will be around 9:30pm from Los Altos Grace Church.
> Saturday morning 6/30 have breakfast and be back to Los Altos Grace by 8:15am.
> Pick up Saturday evening 6/30 from Los Altos Grace at 5:30pm to enjoy dinner and the evening with the host families.
> Sunday morning 7/1 have breakfast and be back to Los Altos Grace by 8:15am (with all belongings).
For sleeping arrangements, the students will only need a floor / sofa to sleep on, not necessarily a bed. They will have sleeping bags and be flexible with your space. Their policy is for 2 or more students per housing situation.
